My Parents Come Home TODAY!!!

So, my parents are finally back on U.S. ground!  They get home tonight at 6, and we are all really excited!  Unfortunately, I cannot post pictures of the kids we are adopting because of privacy reasons, but if you want to see a picture of them, email me at raininthecountry@gmail.com and I will send ya'll pictures of the kids as soon as I can.
Also, my photo challenge ended yesterday, and I know that there were some people who wanted to enter and didn't.  So, I am extending the challenge for all of you who didn't have rain yet, or who didn't get a chance to enter. If you want me to keep it extended for you, please tell me in the comments, so that I know I am not just waiting for nothing.
Last week I went to one of my very bestest (yes, I know bestest isn't a real word) friends house to stay with them awhile while  my parents were gone.  My friend, Leanne, is a photography too, so while we were at her grandparents house we took some pictures.  Here are some of mine:

I took this picture through a hole in a leaf.

This is a picture of a wooden swing.

Hope you enjoyed this post, and don't forget to comment if you want the photo challenge extended, and comment and email me if you want to see pics of my new brothers and sister.

My Second Photo Challenge

OK, so most of you know that I am like obsessed with rain.  And it was RAINING today!!! YAY.  So, I ran out with my camera and got some cute pics.

Love this one, and I didn't even edit it!

You can just barely see the umbrella in the background

Now, to announce the category of my second photo challenge... *drum roll...* Raindrops!  So you can do a Macro of a raindrop, or falling raindrops or a reflection of something on a raindrop, or pretty much anything with raindrops. And if you don't have a macro setting on your camera you can do just a picture of rain. Try to be creative!  Once you've taken the picture (or it could be a picture you've already taken) post it on your blog (or you can use your Flickr account) and enter below by clicking the "add your link" button.  Or if you don't have a blog (or Flickr) you can send me the picture at raininthecountry@gmail.com.  OK, are you ready for some exciting news?  The winner of this photo challenge gets a prize!  A pack of beautiful cards made by me (they are good quality, and are very pretty, they don't look like something you made when you were in kindergarten I promise =) )  Now, if you win and are uncomfortable with emailing me your address, that's fine.  You will still win the challenge of course but the prize will just go to the person in second place.

Here are the rules:
1. The picture must be taken by you and YOU alone!
2. You must follow my blog ( I mean don't follow my blog if you absolutely hate it...but if you hate it why are you reading this?..) =P
3. The contest starts today and ends next Monday (June 18th)
4. You must have fun!!!! That is an order!
5. You may edit, but don't go overboard
6. When you post on your blog please include the link so that others can enter too! Or instead you can put my photo challenge button.

If you have any questions don't be shy, just ask me in the comments below.

What I did today...

Well, Today I hiked down to the river with a backpack and did a photo shoot...with myself.  Nobody in my family wanted to do a photo shoot with me today so the only person left was me =D And I have to say I was most difficult to work with =P The hardest part was not really know how the picture looked 'til after I took it.  Also, I was wearing jeans and it was like 90 degrees out. The bugs were horrid too!  OK, sorry I'm gonna stop complaining now.  Oh, and thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday!  I love you!!!!  I had a wonderful birthday!
Hopefully you don't mind all the photography posts lately, I am hoping to do a normal post soon <3

Lol I took this pic by accident. I was trying to fix something on the lens and I pressed the shutter button.  lol and yes i did have green eye here.  normally my eyes are hazel but sometimes they are green.  lol I did edit them so they are a little bit greener then normal :)

Yes i do realize that this is a horrible picture.  but beavers are sooooooo cute!  There are two beavers that live on the riverbank.  I go see them like everyday they are so cute.

Love this picture!

Kentucky Trip Part 2

Hello Everyone!  Good morning!  Here is the second part of my trip to Kentucky.
Before my great aunt's birthday party, we went to the Levi Jackson historical park.  The birds were really friendly and I got some great pictures. =D
A goose drinking from a puddle.

This pic turned out so grainy, and I was super bored of editing and wanted to do something fun. . . . so this is what happened. lol it looks horrible, but i was bored, what can i say. =P

A cute gosling, is that how you spell it? lol

I LOVE this picture!  probably the best bird pic I've ever taken =D

The mill house at Levi Jackson park

Another Blue Jay pic ;)

I forgot to add this pic last time, it is me at Dog Patch.
Love this picture, the baby ducks were so white, even thought the water was like brown.

I know this is a bad picture, but right as we were about to leave, this weird looking bird swam out onto the pond.  Does anybody have any idea what it is?  It looks so weird.

A Duck.   grrr it's so grainy =( I need a new camera.

The waterfall by the mill.

Well, soon it was time for my great aunt's surprise party. So we drove up to her house and waited.  It was so wonderful, they (her daughters) kept her inside, meanwhile all of my great aunt's granddaughters, and grandsons, sisters, and brothers, nieces, great grandchildren (pretty much anbody related to her in anyway) all gathered on the lawn, then she came outside, and was just like stunned.  She started crying when she saw everyone, it was so sweet <3 Unfortunately I did not really have time to take pictures during the party.

After the party when we got back to the hotel, I saw this beautiful sunset.
So pretty <3

Well as you know, Saturday was the night of the super moon.  lol I totally failed at taking a picture of the moon, but here it is. I tried taking a picture of the moon in like every setting but it still didn't work, here is the best of the worst.  Oh and I was in a moving car when I took this picture, so that added to the difficulty.

HAHA! Man on the moon!!!! (lol couldn't resist =P )
LOL, so anyway, the reason I was in the car when I took this picture is because we were on our way to see the moonbow at Cumberland falls Kentucky.  What is a moonbow?  Well basically it is a rainbow made from moonlight.  There are only 2 regularly occurring moonbows in the world!  One in Australia, and the other at Cumberland falls.  And Saturday was a super moonbow because it was the night of the super moon.  OK, well we drove up the mountains at like 10:30, and we finally arrived at the falls.  And it was packed, there was so many people there waiting to see the moonbow.  There were even police officers to control the traffic.  So anyway, we arrived at the falls, and waited, and waited, and waited some more.  OK the best time to view the moonbow is at 11:30, so we kept waiting for 11:30 and it got mistier, and mistier. Which is bad because you need a pretty clear night to see the moonbow.  So eventually at around 11:15, the moonbow appeared for about a split second then it vanished.  But the frustrating thing is when I lifted my camera to take a picture, MY CAMERA BATTERY DIED!!!! AHHHHH LOL but anyway this is what the moonbow picture would've looked like:
you can barely see it in this picture.  via
OK, this is a better picture, but seriously, it was so beautiful I don't think a camera could have really captured how Awesome it was.
