Sweet Sixteen

My sweet sixteen is coming up June 5th.  I am so excited, but I don't know what I want to do to celebrate.  So I wondered if you guys had any ideas.

If you've already had you sweet sixteen, what did you do?  Would you change anything? If you haven't had your sweet sixteen yet, do you have a theme in mind.  What is your best birthday memory?
Thank you for your thoughts, I can't wait to hear your ideas!

  1. thats pretty cool! 16 feels like a grown up age.
uh... I had a family dinner of steak and sparkling juice.

    and a birthday cake.

you could do a girly party where you paint fingernails....just my ideas.

  2. I had a big bonfire party! Complete with my favorite music, smores, hot dogs, and christmas lights draped over 100 year oak trees! We also took pictures at night of us drawing with growsticks. After all the adults (all but my parents) went home we tied a kiddy pool to the back of a 4 wheeler and rode like in the dark for hours. It was so much fun!

If I did it again I wouldn't change much. I would advise you to make a checklist of everything that needs to be done before the guests get there.

  3. A couple years ago when a friend turned 16 the family did a manicure themed birthday party for her, it was a surprise as well, and we went downtown as well.

  5. I had a simple party with my closest friends..I guess it wasn't like everyone else's parties, I'm not a party-person. Anyway, I have awarded you with the Brilliant Blog Bouquet Award: http://jnwaldvogel.blogspot.com/2013/04/brilliant-blog-bouquet-award.html. God Bless!

  7. I had a campfire, Volleyball, hay wagon rides, and corn-hole. there was no real theme. Just hanging out and having fun. The only thing I wish i could have changed was to make it last longer, it flew by so fast. Plus i had it on a week day, so that shorten my hours.

I can't believe your gonna be 16 already. Happy Birthday Laura! =)

    God Bless,
    Leanne
